Abstract

This interdisciplinary research focuses on how inoculation theory, the way of building a defense against something (a virus, false news), can aid individuals in identifying cognitive biases and fallacies in their media/news. This research is done in tandem with Dr. John Cook and the University of Melbourne, who will use our media research to inoculate students to build defenses of false biases surrounding climate change arguments.
