Welcome

On this site you can find the schedule of events for our Research and Creativity Day Symposium. You can also browse student abstracts by name.

On the last day of classes for the spring semester–April 25, 2025–students and faculty will gather in the Hurley Convergence Center, as well as in other spaces across campus, to present the results of their scholarly research and creative endeavors over the past academic year.

We invite everyone—students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, and other university friends—to browse the presentations on this website to see student projects and performances from across the university. We hope you will not only take a look, but also take the time to comment directly to the various projects by our students with your questions and words of encouragement to recognize and celebrate their hard work and achievements! All are welcomed to attend the in-person events on campus on the 25th.

To comment, just click on the project title following one of the menus above, and fill out the required information.

Congratulations and thank you to all our student presenters and their faculty mentors for their accomplishments!

A special thanks to Shannon Hauser, Jerry Slezak, and Cartland Berge from UMW Digital Learning Support; Angie Kemp of UMW Simpson Library; Maria Schultz and Emily McCready of UMW Design Services; and Meredith O’Connell of the College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Office for their support of this Research and Creativity Day.
